Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods within designated Austin routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and GPS tracking systems for real-time monitoring
- Verify recipient information and obtain proper signatures for all deliveries
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Adapt to changing delivery priorities and weather conditions during night operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Assist with loading/unloading procedures and inventory management
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience with delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Austin streets and surrounding areas
- Availability to work flexible night shifts (typically 10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation and communication
- Reliable transportation to and from the Commerce Street depot
- Pass background check and drug screening as per company policy
