Responsibilities
- Safely navigate Memphis streets to deliver packages and documents during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of service
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Handle fragile or high-value packages with specialized care protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route issues or delays
- Uphold company safety standards and traffic regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly and maneuver in tight spaces
- Strong knowledge of Memphis metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs
- Availability to work overnight shifts including weekends and holidays
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation and communication apps
- Pass background check and drug screening per company policy
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
