Responsibilities
- Operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional overnight routes (8-10 hour shifts)
- Safely transport refrigerated and dry goods to distribution centers
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to maximize efficiency
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Communicate seamlessly with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Document delivery discrepancies and maintain cargo security
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean 3-year MVR (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional experience
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer steps
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices
- Strong route planning and time management skills
- Flexibility for occasional weekend/holiday shifts
