Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for overnight freight deliveries to DC/Ohio markets
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD) compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and delivery confirmations
- Secure and unload cargo at distribution centers with precision
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse personnel
- Document delivery exceptions and maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer decks
- Flexibility for variable overnight schedules (Sun-Thu)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and ELD systems
- Knowledge of DC/Ohio highway systems and weather patterns
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
