Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for local/regional routes during overnight hours
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with precision and care using provided equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging systems
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Ensure on-time deliveries in the greater Sacramento area
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Flexibility to work 10-12 hour shifts overnight (typically 8 PM - 8 AM)
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and regulations
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
