Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight delivery
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients during routes
- Secure cargo and ensure proper handling of specialized materials
- Respond professionally to delivery challenges and route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in 3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Proven night shift logistics background preferred
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and climb trailer steps repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of NYC metro area geography
- Pass federal DOT physical and random drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
