Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on various routes throughout the Milwaukee area and beyond.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Ensure cargo is secured and protected during transit.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) valid for at least 2 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety standards.
- Ability to work night shifts (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and weekends.
- Must be willing to travel and work in various weather conditions.
