Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional night routes (8 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and retail locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and complete accurate delivery documentation
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams using electronic logging devices
- Secure cargo properly and verify delivery accuracy with recipient signatures
- Report mechanical issues promptly and assist with basic vehicle maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-paid)
- Familiarity with California highway systems and local Long Beach routes
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Strong time management skills and punctuality record
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team communication
