Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on designated overnight routes.
- Conduct detailed pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of logbooks, safety regulations, and cargo securement.
- Basic computer skills for paperwork entry.
