Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles safely on designated routes throughout the Chicago metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites, handling any issues with patience and efficiency.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial vehicle.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
