Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight transport across Houston metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while adapting to route changes and weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team via electronic logging devices
- Maintain clean driving record with zero preventable incidents
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Houston-area roadways and delivery protocols
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
