Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport diverse freight including dry van and flatbed loads throughout Colorado Springs and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team using advanced telematics systems for real-time route optimization
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of cargo with proper weight distribution protocols
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and at client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Colorado mountain driving conditions and winter weather protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed
