Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Execute multi-drop routes within Sacramento metro area with precision
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and DOT compliance protocols
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, dollies)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers during transit
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain accurate paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficient with ELDs and GPS navigation systems
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends/holidays
- Knowledge of California route planning and traffic patterns
