Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry vans, reefers, flatbeds) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance documentation is accurate
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining safety-first protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean, DOT-compliant vehicle records and logbooks
- Respond proactively to route changes and traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional driving experience
- Familiarity with Milwaukee metro area roadways and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate warehouse equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to operate in all weather conditions
