Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/vans) for local/regional deliveries during overnight hours
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Navigate complex delivery routes using GPS and real-time traffic data
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with FMCSA regulations
- Assist in training new drivers on company procedures and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding regions
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening upon hire
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and documentation
