Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous trip logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Navigate high-volume LA metro routes with GPS optimization
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Ensure temperature-controlled cargo integrity for sensitive loads
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience
- HAZMAT certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of LA metro traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to work independently in overnight conditions
