Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and efficiently on designated routes throughout Tucson and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload freight using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts as required, ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Verify shipment contents and prepare accurate delivery documentation and receipts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling billing inquiries and ensuring deliveries are made on time.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B) with the required endorsements.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT) if applicable.
- A clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to work nights (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar shift).
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for logging miles and handling paperwork.
- Reliable transportation to and from the terminal.
