Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across Memphis metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance reporting to ensure operational safety
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient navigation and time management
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and operate in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with Memphis area routes and regional highways
- Pass mandatory background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement protocols
