Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver time-sensitive shipments to commercial and residential locations
- Perform meticulous pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling and securement protocols
- Document delivery exceptions and communicate issues to dispatch in real-time
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of San Antonio geography and surrounding areas
- Flexible availability to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- DOT medical certification and Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Proficient with electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
