Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes and schedules.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling according to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate driver's logs (ELD) and all required delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Uphold the company's reputation for punctuality and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
