Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport packages and goods during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and meet tight deadlines
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of service
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs promptly
- Uphold company safety standards and defensive driving protocols in all weather conditions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions
- Represent SwiftLogistics with professionalism during customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or equivalent delivery background
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly and navigate multi-level buildings
- Strong time-management skills with proven punctuality record
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation and communication apps
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as operational needs demand
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
- Knowledge of Charlotte metro area road networks preferred
