Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and food deliveries during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries across boroughs
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch in real-time
- Assist with loading/unloading operations at distribution centers
Qualifications
- Valid Class D Driver's License with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Proven experience in delivery, courier, or logistics roles
- Ability to navigate NYC streets efficiently during overnight hours
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route apps and communication
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
