Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, pharmaceuticals, and critical medical supplies across Wichita and surrounding areas
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards for handling confidential patient information and samples
- Complete detailed delivery documentation and maintain accurate inventory logs
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling and route optimization
- Perform vehicle safety checks and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delivery status and potential delays
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics certification preferred
- Experience with temperature-controlled transport or healthcare logistics a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and navigate clinical environments
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and biohazard protocols
- Proficient with mobile technology for route navigation and documentation
- Pass background check and drug screening as required for healthcare roles
