Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and temperature-sensitive medications
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Operate climate-controlled vehicles with precision handling of fragile cargo
- Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and labs for time-sensitive pickups/deliveries
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and ensure cleanliness of transport units
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for real-time route optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare partners
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain
- Experience with temperature-controlled transport preferred
- OSHA bloodborne pathogens certification (or willingness to train)
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of medical packaging protocols
