Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive documents
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for seamless pickup/dropoff scheduling
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Utilize GPS navigation for efficient route planning
- Communicate delivery status and exceptions to dispatch team
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled transport equipment
- Proficient with mobile technology and delivery tracking apps
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
