Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and time-sensitive materials between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control requirements for sensitive shipments
- Complete accurate documentation and chain-of-custody procedures for all deliveries
- Utilize GPS navigation to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals
- Communicate proactively with healthcare providers regarding delivery status
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient-related materials
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1-year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and navigate medical facility layouts
- Knowledge of biohazard handling and OSHA safety standards
- Proficient with mobile tracking apps and electronic documentation systems
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish preferred)
