Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals to and from medical facilities, hospitals, and laboratories with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Ensure the preservation of specimen integrity by maintaining appropriate temperature controls during transit.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to guarantee patient confidentiality and data security.
- Utilize handheld delivery scanners to update tracking systems in real-time and maintain accurate delivery logs.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, sanitary, and mechanically sound.
- Handle package handling with care, ensuring all items are secured and protected during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and a drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Basic computer literacy and smartphone proficiency for logging deliveries.
- Reliable vehicle insurance coverage (if using personal vehicle).
