Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment safely and securely between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody procedures
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and real-time tracking
- Document all deliveries with electronic manifests and maintain accurate records
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff regarding delivery status and special requirements
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport units
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or healthcare transport
- Proficiency with temperature-controlled transport equipment
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
