Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain precise delivery schedules for hospitals, clinics, and labs across the Bay Area
- Verify packaging integrity and maintain proper chain-of-custody documentation
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time tracking
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and biohazard safety standards at all times
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for seamless handoffs and delivery confirmations
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain clean, organized transport units
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or specimen transport
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in varied weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
- Proficient with mobile technology and delivery tracking systems
