Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Document all transfers with digital manifests and maintain chain-of-custody records
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Optimize routes for timely delivery while maintaining professional appearance
- Communicate delivery status in real-time to facility coordinators
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport units
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean record (3+ years)
- Experience handling medical specimens or pharmaceuticals preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
