Responsibilities
- Securely package, transport, and deliver medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals using climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain precise delivery schedules while adhering to HIPAA compliance protocols
- Document all transfers using electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate chain-of-custody records
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe transport conditions
- Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities and clients regarding delivery status
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
- Train in specialized handling protocols for hazardous materials and biohazardous substances
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving or medical transport experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in GPS navigation and electronic delivery documentation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate medical facility environments
