Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and biohazard protocols
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for real-time route optimization and delivery verification
- Document all transport activities with digital logs and chain-of-custody forms
- Perform vehicle inspections and ensure temperature-controlled environments are maintained
- Provide exceptional client communication and resolve delivery issues proactively
- Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate urgent and stat deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class B) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification required
- Proficiency in using temperature monitoring systems and delivery software
- Ability to lift 70+ pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Exceptional time management with proven punctuality record
- Strong problem-solving skills for route disruptions and emergencies
