Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and sensitive materials in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Coordinate with medical facilities to optimize delivery routes and timing
- Handle temperature-sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Document all procedures and maintain chain-of-custody documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 minor violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or courier services
- Certification in bloodborne pathogens handling (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile technology
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
