Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness of transport units
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with flexibility and professionalism
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch and clients
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare certification preferred
- 1+ years medical courier or logistics experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling procedures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Proficiency with mobile tracking systems and electronic documentation
- Spanish fluency required for Laredo market
