Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, pharmaceuticals, and equipment using company-provided vehicles and specialized containers
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance protocols and infection control procedures
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time arrival across San Jose and surrounding areas
- Document all transactions using digital tracking systems and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Inspect and maintain assigned equipment (coolers, insulated containers, biohazard bags) in optimal condition
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facilities and patients during delivery interactions
- Participate in regular safety training and equipment handling workshops
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier, logistics, or healthcare transportation
- Certification in bloodborne pathogens handling or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with mobile technology and route navigation apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Background check and pre-employment drug screening required
