Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and organs between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Complete accurate documentation and chain-of-custody forms for all deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT regulations at all times
- Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for real-time route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical or logistics transportation
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking apps
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
