Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment across Virginia Beach
- Maintain precise temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized containers
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols at all times
- Accurately document and track all shipments through our digital logistics system
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup and delivery scheduling
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure operational readiness
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare partners and patients
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and digital tracking systems
- Background check and drug screening required
- Flexibility to work early morning/late evening shifts
