Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and chain-of-custody records
- Perform vehicle safety checks and routine maintenance reporting
- Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and HIPAA regulations at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare facility staff
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for efficient route optimization
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests and schedule changes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical logistics or healthcare transportation
- Certification in biohazard handling or medical transport preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling protocols
