Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody documentation for all medical shipmentsAdhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data handling
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Coordinate with hospital staff and lab technicians for timely pickups/deliveries
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Report any shipment irregularities or safety concerns immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with temperature-controlled logistics a plus
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficiency with mobile technology and GPS systems
