Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, pharmaceuticals, and critical lab materials between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Execute optimized delivery routes using GPS navigation while maintaining strict time-sensitive schedules
- Complete meticulous documentation and chain-of-custody procedures for all medical transports
- Provide exceptional customer service to medical staff and patients during high-stakes deliveries
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain sterile transport conditions
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and DOT regulations for medical transport
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean MVR record
- Minimum 2 years experience in medical or biohazard transport
- Certification in medical waste handling and biohazard safety (OSHA 40hr)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate temperature-controlled units
- Expert knowledge of Phoenix-Mesa metropolitan area roadways
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
- Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
