Responsibilities
- Transport time-sensitive medical specimens, blood samples, and documents safely and securely between medical facilities, laboratories, and hospitals.
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance standards to ensure patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs of all deliveries, including timestamps and proof of delivery.
- Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is ready for service.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely arrivals at all pickup and drop-off locations.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and facility security personnel at various healthcare sites.
Qualifications
- A valid Class C California Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations).
- Previous experience in medical or healthcare logistics is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 25 lbs occasionally.
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and smartphone applications for logging deliveries.
- Professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with patients and medical staff.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends as needed.
