Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and lab materials between hospitals, clinics, and testing facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain complete chain-of-custody documentation
- Coordinate with medical facilities for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling using our GPS-enabled system
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport vehicles
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities in real-time
- Handle confidential medical materials with the utmost professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics certification preferred
- Experience with temperature-controlled transport or medical specimen handling
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile technology
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and biohazard safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and navigate healthcare facility environments
- Background check and drug screening required
