Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab results, and sensitive healthcare materials between hospitals, clinics, labs, and testing centers
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance for all patient data during transit
- Perform temperature-controlled deliveries for biologics and vaccines
- Document delivery logs, handle electronic manifests, and maintain chain-of-custody records
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with medical facilities for precise pickup/dropoff scheduling
- Resolve delivery exceptions and communicate status updates to dispatch team
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain clean driving record
Qualifications
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean MVR (no moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience or medical logistics background
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile delivery tracking apps
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and operate in varied weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
