Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and sensitive pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled environments.
- Verify and manage all documentation, including delivery manifests, chain of custody forms, and temperature logs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is ready for daily operations.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and healthcare regulations (HIPAA, DOT).
- Deliver packages to designated medical facilities and obtain necessary signatures or delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and patients to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and minor maintenance checks before and after routes.
Qualifications
- Valid Driverβs License (Class C) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 points).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation systems and smartphone apps for route tracking.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by facility schedules.
