Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals using climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and chain-of-custody protocols
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology for maximum efficiency
- Document all transactions with electronic proof-of-delivery systems
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and pharmacies for seamless handoffs
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintenance as required
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with 24/7 on-call availability
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Proficient with electronic logging and delivery tracking systems
- Background check and drug screening required
