Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and documents between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials during transit
- Document all deliveries with electronic tracking systems and maintain chain-of-custody logs
- Adhere to HIPAA protocols and all medical transport regulations
- Perform vehicle safety checks and report maintenance needs
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and healthcare partners
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical transport or logistics
- Certification in medical shipping (DOT/IATA) preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards
