Responsibilities
- Safely transport time-sensitive medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals using specialized climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance protocols for all patient materials
- Document all transfers using electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and research facilities to ensure on-time critical deliveries
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport equipment
- Respond to urgent medical transport requests with 24/7 on-call availability
- Implement infection control procedures during all handling and delivery processes
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years medical courier or specialized logistics experience
- Certification in biohazard handling and medical transport (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional time management and route optimization skills
