Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between healthcare facilities with strict adherence to temperature control protocols
- Maintain detailed delivery logs and electronic tracking systems for all shipments
- Verify recipient identities and maintain chain of custody documentation
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Coordinate with healthcare staff for efficient pick-up and delivery schedules
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests during emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier, logistics, or healthcare transportation
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screening required
