Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and sensitive healthcare materials between facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for time-sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Document all transfers using electronic logging systems and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate with hospital staff, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery schedules
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness of transport units
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and transport packaging materials
- Respond promptly to urgent delivery requests and maintain flexible availability
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
