Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Safely and efficiently transport medical specimens, laboratory samples, and critical medical documents to designated facilities.
- Temperature Control: Strictly adhere to temperature requirements for specimens, utilizing thermal bags and coolers as necessary.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, operational, and compliant.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding privacy and safety during deliveries.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and submit delivery logs, proof of delivery (POD) forms, and electronic manifests using mobile devices.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with hospital staff, clinic personnel, and patients to facilitate smooth handoffs.
Qualifications
- Driver’s License: Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and no major violations.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available for early morning and weekend shifts to accommodate hospital schedules.
- Technology: Basic computer literacy and comfort with using handheld scanning devices or tablets.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
